Six groups of artworks selected for this exhibition are typical Sid and Geri style: the reproduction and re-telling of daily life with obvious traces of performance. Mysterious Romantic presents a universal spirit conveyed by young artists with contemporary mysterious and romantic genre when experiencing life with acting absurd, nonsensical, mysterious and frightening, but also upholding an attitude towards life: after the exquisiteness is removed, the actual romance of life is brut, original, even with rough traces. Mysterious Romantic falls on this way to provoke the viewer to reflect upon life in the present and the individual, expecting to lead audiences into a mysterious, romantic, absurd and bizarre primitive world through the exhibition where every piece or part here reflects a “looking glass self”, while Sid and Geri conveys a common spirit of contemporary romanticism in the intermediate space between epic and a fantasy-like every day. “looking glass self 镜中自我”由美国社会学家查尔斯·库利所提出，他认为每一个人对他人都是一面镜子，反应出他人所表现过的事情。 “looking glass self” is a sociological term proposed by American sociologist Charles Horton Cooley. The group collaborates with different types of people around different cultures. 本次展览落点以此引发观者对生活与个体的思考，希望能够透过展览带领观众进入一个神秘的、浪漫的、荒诞的、奇异的原始世界，而这里的每一个角落都像一面充满你的影子的镜子，Sid and Geri则传达出了一种介于史诗与日常之间灰色地带的当代的浪漫主义精神。
